Over the past 17 years, Alex Leviton has worked as a journalist, freelance writer, startup co-founder in London, editorial director, creative strategist for small businesses, business coach for creative professionals, and writing instructor. She’s spoken on travel writing in Italy, the UK, and the US and taught writing scholarship recipients in Germany, Morocco and China.
Since 2002, she’s been an author for Lonely Planet covering destinations like Italy, the Caribbean and North Carolina. But her passion is writing about social psychology and discovering the personal meaning of life in Lonely Planet titles like Happy and Calm or in the workbook she’s currently writing on finding your own personal meaning of life.
An extremely rare blend of unconventional creative writer and tough-as-nails strategy-minded business consultant, Alex also has the integrity that comes from a master’s degree in journalism from UC Berkeley.
